Mission Statement: The purpose of this organization is to serve as a network that supports the needs of the equine education program at Montana State University. Equine Boosters of MSU are organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes to serve the interests of the equine educational programs at Montana State University through support of Equine classes, equine facilities, and public awareness of equine educational opportunities at MSU by:
A. Promoting the donation of horses to the horse training classes
B. Raising funds to help enhance a stronger and well developed equine educational program
C. Foster public understanding of the equine educational program at MSU.
Different Ways to Support the Equine Boosters of MSU
- Training Class Horse Sale: The Annual MSU Training Class Horse Sale is held each spring. These horses have been donated by producers not only from around Montana, but beyond. Students in MSU training courses have worked with these animals for 2 semesters.
- Donate a Horse: Montana Horse Company, White Sulphur Springs, originated the 'Donate a Horse' program to build support for the MSU Equine Science program by giving students the "hands on" opportunity to learn the science, economics and skills needed to train and market horses. Support the MSU Equine Program while promoting your business by donating a quality horse to the Training Class Horse Sale.
